I am so sorry for the lack of posts recently but my computer crashed (what an ordeal!) and I didn't have the ability to do much. Anyway, life is still crazy as usual at our house. The last few weeks have brought joy with celebrating birthdays with friends and visiting family, sadness with losing Ryan's grandmother, and craziness with the basement renovation project. The above picture is from Claire Green's 3rd birthday party. Zoie was super shy so Dizzy the Clown asked her to be the assistant. Worked like a charm...she ran right up to the front!
Ryan's dad and step-mom, Dick and Linda, live in Johnston and we just don't see them often enough! He also has a lil bro, Brennen, who is 13 and he keeps his parents running full-speed! They came down to spend the day and play with the kids. Kai seemed to enjoy the attention and Brennen was awesome about (1) playing with a girl and (2) playing with a much younger girl!
Another highlight was my grandparents coming down for their 56th wedding anniversary so I could take them to lunch. Granted, they only got the Hy-Vee deli and a tow-along of kids but I think they enjoyed it. I also took the kids to Chariton to visit them last Friday for a few hours. We had so much fun. Gramsy and I took Zoie to Pipers, a "real" candy store where they still make homemade chocolates. $50.00 later she was still having fun! Momma and Tom should be receving a nice box of chocolates very soon, thanks to Zo. We didn't share with Kai. He seems to be doing VERY well with just some baby food and formula!
